The Lagos State government, under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, recently announced an increase in the minimum wage for workers in the state to ₦85,000.
This is part of ongoing efforts to address the rising cost of living and provide economic relief for public servants, especially in light of the recent removal of fuel subsidies and naira devaluation. Lagos is one of the states taking significant steps toward improving workers’ welfare, following the Federal Government’s approval of a ₦70,000 wage increment for federal workers.
