
Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen has confirmed that Israeli soldiers mistakenly attacked UN peacekeepers in southern Lebanon. The incident occurred during heightened military actions against Hezbollah, which has been firing rockets into Israel. According to Cohen, two UN peacekeepers were injured when Israeli forces fired at what they perceived as an immediate threat.
