Peter Obi has expressed deep concern over the deteriorating condition of Nigerian roads, reflecting on his personal experience during a recent journey.
He shared that his trip from Onitsha to Igarra in Akoko-Edo took him six and a half hours due to the poor state of the roads. Additionally, his travel from Ekpoma to Benin, which used to take about two hours, stretched to three hours, causing delays and frustration.
Obi emphasized that the bad road conditions not only prolong travel but also contribute to numerous accidents, some of which he witnessed firsthand. He expressed sadness over the country’s neglect of infrastructure, highlighting how the leadership seems indifferent to the hardships Nigerians face on the roads.
