Awkunanaw, Enugu State – Former Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has reaffirmed his commitment to promoting education for the less privileged during the official opening of the Araceli Aid Foundation Academy. The academy, a project of the Araceli Aid Foundation led by American philanthropist Anne Rossmeier, was established to provide quality education to indigent children.
Peter Obi, a staunch advocate for education, expressed his belief that “quality education is not only the right of every child but is also their currency for future opportunities.” He praised the efforts of private individuals like Rossmeier for making significant investments in education and pledged to sponsor several indigent students at the academy as part of his commitment to the cause.
Obi commended the fact that 50% of the students enrolled at the academy enjoy full or partial scholarships, describing it as a commendable step toward giving children a better future through education.
