The All Progressives Congress (APC) dominated the Kaduna local government elections, winning all 23 local government chairmanship seats and all 255 ward councillorship positions across the state. The election, organized by the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KADSIECOM), saw widespread voter turnout, with Governor Uba Sani commending the peaceful and transparent nature of the process.
Despite the APC’s victory, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has raised concerns about irregularities, including missing result sheets at some polling stations, and plans to challenge the results. The PDP expressed doubts about the fairness of the elections, but APC officials have dismissed the accusations, emphasizing their extensive campaign efforts across the state.
