Manchester United’s young defender, Leny Yoro, is still working his way back to full fitness following the foot surgery he underwent after suffering an injury during pre-season. The 18-year-old, who joined the Red Devils from Lille in a £58.9 million deal over the summer, sustained the injury in a match against Arsenal and has been sidelined since. Yoro has shown promising signs of recovery, sharing a video of himself running on a treadmill, signaling progress towards his return.
However, despite these positive developments, Manchester United is exercising caution. Manager Erik ten Hag has emphasized that they will not rush the French defender back into action. The club’s medical team is closely monitoring Yoro’s rehabilitation, with a potential return to the pitch expected around November.
Yoro’s absence has added to United’s defensive concerns, with fellow center-back Harry Maguire also sidelined. In the meantime, Ten Hag will rely on the likes of Matthijs de Ligt, Lisandro Martinez, and veteran Jonny Evans to fill the gap in defense.
As United looks forward to his eventual comeback, Yoro’s recovery remains a critical component of the team’s plans for the remainder of the season.
