Several violent incidents have unfolded recently in Aba and nearby areas, including the fatal shooting of police officers, which has increased tensions among residents. Security forces, including the Nigerian army, have responded with patrols and arrests, targeting individuals and enforcing stricter security protocols in the region.
A young Lady has raised alarm and is soliciting for support concerning her father who was shot whilst he was on his farm , she has taken to her X formerly Twitter account to cry for help, “My village share boundary with ikwano LGA in Abia state, my dad was in his farm yesterday were he was shot severally am pleading with everyone out here to please help me with money as I have exhausted 70k already.I don’t have money to organise a funeral,help my father live again”
These operations, however, have reportedly led to multiple detentions and allegations of harassment, especially following violent attacks believed to be linked to regional conflicts and criminal activities.
