Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Dangote Group, has shown strong support for President Bola Tinubu’s push toward Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as an alternative fuel source in Nigeria. Dangote is reportedly investing over $280 million in acquiring CNG-powered trucks and related infrastructure to support the initiative.
This investment aligns with Tinubu’s agenda to reduce Nigeria’s dependence on traditional petroleum fuels, which could help lower emissions and reduce fuel costs for Nigerians. Dangote’s commitment is expected to facilitate the adoption of CNG in the transportation sector, providing a significant boost to the nation’s energy transition efforts.
