The Oba of Benin recently extended congratulations to Professor Lilian Imuetinyan Salami, the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin (UNIBEN). Salami’s selection marks a significant milestone as she becomes one of the few women to lead the university.
Recognized for her extensive background in academia, especially in Home Economics and Nutritional Education, her appointment has been widely celebrated as a step forward for UNIBEN. Governor Godwin Obaseki also expressed optimism that her leadership would bring further progress to the institution and strengthen its role in community engagement within Edo State
