As of October 2024, fuel prices in Nigeria have surged significantly. At Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) outlets, the price of petrol has hit ₦1,030 per liter. This price increase follows the NNPC’s decision to end its exclusive purchase agreement with the Dangote Refinery, allowing other marketers to negotiate prices directly In other areas, such as Lagos and Ogun States, prices are reported around ₦860 per liter
These sharp increases have contributed to higher transportation costs and a rise in the cost of living across the country.
