Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has expressed concern over Reece James’ recurring injury struggles, acknowledging the challenges faced by the club captain while emphasizing the need for resilience.
“I know it’s not easy, but if every time James gets an injury it becomes harder for him, it’s, for me, even worse,” Maresca said. “He has to accept and try to avoid as much as he can. Sometimes things happen even if you want to avoid them.”
Despite the frustration surrounding James’ latest setback, Maresca remains hopeful that the England defender can recover quickly. “Hopefully he can be available next game,” he added.
James’ persistent fitness issues have raised concerns, but Maresca’s comments reflect a commitment to supporting the player as he works to regain full fitness and lead Chelsea on the pitch.
