The Dangote Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, to ₦970 per litre. This marks a ₦20 decrease from its previous price of ₦990 per litre. The reduction is aimed at appreciating Nigerians for their support and aligning with measures to stimulate domestic enterprise. The refinery also emphasized its commitment to quality and the assurance of sustainable, environmentally friendly products.
This price adjustment follows recent agreements between Dangote Refinery and the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), which will allow marketers to directly lift petroleum products from the refinery. This move is expected to streamline distribution, reduce costs, and ensure a steady fuel supply across the country.
