President Donald Trump has announced that the U.S. military carried out airstrikes in Somalia, successfully targeting a top ISIS leader along with other terrorists hiding in the region.
According to Trump, the operation was part of ongoing efforts to dismantle ISIS networks and prevent future attacks. U.S. defense officials have yet to release further details on the identities of those killed or the extent of the damage inflicted on the terrorist hideouts.
