
The Federal Ministry of Education in Nigeria has announced that a revamped curriculum for basic education will take effect in January 2025. This initiative aims to address significant learning challenges and improve students’ employability by introducing 15 new trade subjects that include practical skills such as plumbing, digital literacy, and various vocational entrepreneurship skills.
The Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman, emphasized that this new curriculum will not only equip students with essential 21st-century skills but also help in societal reorientation by instilling moral values.
