The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has clarified the reason behind the challenges experienced during the 2023 general elections regarding the upload of Presidential election results. According to INEC, an unexpected system error disrupted the functionality of the INEC Result Viewing (IREV) platform, delaying the seamless uploading of results.
INEC stated that the technical glitch was unforeseen and assured Nigerians of its commitment to transparency and improving the system for future elections.
The incident sparked widespread debate and scrutiny at the time, with many citizens demanding accountability. INEC has since promised to work on robust solutions to prevent similar occurrences.
