
Bayern Munich’s sporting director, Max Eberl, has addressed the future of midfielder Leon Goretzka, confirming that discussions will take place regarding his role at the club moving forward.
“We will discuss what the future holds with him again,” Eberl said, acknowledging that the club had already spoken to Goretzka during the summer transfer window. Despite speculation about potential moves, Eberl emphasized that Goretzka ultimately chose to stay with Bayern. “We spoke to Goretzka in the summer and he decided to stay. We are happy that he’s here,” he stated.
The Bayern director also underscored Goretzka’s importance to the team, highlighting his value to the squad: “He’s an important part of the team.” Goretzka has been a key figure for Bayern Munich since joining the club and remains integral to their midfield strategy, with discussions about his long-term future expected to continue.
