The producers of Blade Runner 2049 have filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk, Tesla, and Warner Bros. Discovery, accusing them of using imagery from the film without permission in a presentation for Tesla’s robotaxi.
The complaint alleges that AI-generated images used during the event closely resembled stills from the film, violating copyrights. Alcon Entertainment, the production company behind Blade Runner 2049, had previously denied a request from Warner Bros. to use content from the movie for the robotaxi launch .
