The Speaker of the Borno State House of Assembly recently urged the Federal Government to acquire a new aircraft for Vice President Kashim Shettima. The Speaker highlighted that the current aircraft used by the Vice President may not be sufficiently reliable or up-to-date for official travels and engagements.
He emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and convenience of high-ranking officials, particularly given the extensive travel required by their duties. The Speaker called for prioritizing this request to support the Vice President’s work and to maintain the prestige and operational effectiveness of the office.
