The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has accused former Nigerian head of state, General Yakubu Gowon, of orchestrating the mass killings of Igbos during the Nigerian Civil War. IPOB’s statement comes in response to recent remarks by Gowon, which they believe show insensitivity to the atrocities committed during the war.
IPOB claims that Gowon was responsible for the suffering and loss of millions of Igbo lives during the conflict, demanding that he takes responsibility and apologizes for his actions.
