The Nigerian government has urged its citizens in Lebanon to report to the Nigerian Embassy in Beirut for evacuation due to the escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. This advisory follows the recent surge in violence in the region, with missile strikes and air raids affecting parts of Lebanon, particularly Beirut and southern areas.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is coordinating the evacuation process, and Nigerians who wish to return home have been asked to reach out for profiling and documentation. Although most Nigerians in Lebanon have moved to safer areas, the government continues to monitor the situation closely and reassures that no Nigerians have been harmed so far. The evacuation is voluntary, and citizens are encouraged to leave while commercial flights are still available.
