Diasporan real estate investors are protesting the demolition of their properties in the Okun Ajah area of Lagos State, linked to the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road project.
WinHomes Global Estate, valued at $250 million, was destroyed, prompting claims that the demolition violated the 2006 approved road alignment. Investors, including Stella Okengwu, are calling for intervention from President Tinubu, alleging corruption and irregularities in the Ministry of Works’ handling of the project. They argue that proper legal protocols were followed, yet their properties were razed without notice.
