The United Nations has warned that the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon is deteriorating at an alarming rate due to the ongoing hostilities with Israel. As of October 2024, over 1.2 million people have been displaced, with many forced into overcrowded shelters or sleeping on the streets.
The situation worsens as Israeli airstrikes and Hezbollah-Israeli clashes escalate, leaving civilians in dire conditions, and a quarter of the country now under Israeli military displacement orders. The UN is urging for urgent humanitarian interventions.
