Dr. Moses Paul, a prominent social activist and key figure in Nigeria’s “Obidients” movement, has shown his appreciation for Peter Obi’s gesture in celebrating the Ooni of Ife’s 50th birthday.
On his X formerly Twitter account he expressed his reverence for Mr Peter Obi, he said “I’m fully aware that Mr. @PeterObi left for Kano State at 1 a.m. Yesterday, after a long and demanding day, he arrived back home in Lagos at 3 a.m. This was after visiting Jigawa State to offer his condolences to the governor and the over 180 families who tragically lost loved ones in the tanker explosion. Despite the exhaustion, today he made the road journey from Lagos to the historic city of Ile-Ife, attending the 50th birthday celebration of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, and commissioning the Oduduwa House, a generous contribution from Sir Dr. Kensington Adebukunola Adebutu, the Odole-Oodua of the source.
What stands out is Mr. @PeterObi’s ability to remain steadfast and unshakable, regardless of the challenges he faces. He consistently places the well-being of others first. Right now, he is the only individual who possesses the mental strength, physical resilience, character, consistency and compassion to unite this nation, tackle Nigeria’s complex issues, and lead us toward a more prosperous future. His commitment is the embodiment of the leadership this country urgently needs—one that’s deeply devoted to the people, relentless in the pursuit of progress, and driven by a vision for lasting change.
I challenge anyone in Nigeria to come close to this level of dedication today.
