Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has expressed satisfaction with his team’s development this season, highlighting a reduced dependency on young star Cole Palmer. Maresca, who has been carefully managing Palmer’s role, believes the team’s collective progress is benefiting both the club and the player.
Reflecting on his earlier approach, Maresca stated:
“This season we are less reliant on Cole Palmer, and we are very happy.”
He reiterated the importance of easing pressure on the 21-year-old:
“If you remember in my first press conference, I said that we cannot rely on Cole for every game… because it is not correct. He has to enjoy football.”
