Chief Rita Lori-Ogbebor, a prominent activist and businesswoman, has alleged that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, reallocated her property in Abuja to Kingsley Chinda, a former lawmaker and close associate of the minister.
In a press briefing, Lori-Ogbebor claimed that the reallocation was carried out unjustly and that title documents were approved for Chinda in just two months. She described the process as an abuse of power, asserting that her ownership of the property was backed by legitimate documentation.
“This is a violation of my rights and a blatant abuse of office. My legally acquired property was taken and reallocated to someone else without due process,” Lori-Ogbebor stated.
She has vowed to challenge the reallocation in court and called on President Bola Tinubu to investigate the matter. Lori-Ogbebor expressed concerns that such actions undermine property rights and the principles of fairness and justice in governance.
Neither Minister Wike nor Kingsley Chinda has responded to the allegations. The case has drawn attention to issues of transparency and accountability within the FCT administration, raising questions about the minister’s handling of land allocations.
