Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has dismissed reports claiming that his principal collapsed in Abuja.
In a statement released on Saturday, Olayinka described the reports as false and misleading, urging the public to disregard them. He emphasized that Wike remains in good health and continues to perform his official duties without any medical concerns.
The clarification follows widespread speculation about Wike’s health after unverified claims emerged suggesting he had slumped during a high-level meeting. However, no credible sources have confirmed such an incident.
As of now, the FCT Minister has not personally addressed the reports, but his aide has assured the public that there is no cause for concern regarding his well-being.
