Hurricane Milton has wreaked havoc on Florida’s west coast, making landfall as a powerful Category 3 storm. The hurricane has destroyed numerous homes, left over 2 million people without power, and caused significant flooding, especially in the Tampa metro area, where over 10 inches of rain fell in just a few hours.
The storm also triggered tornadoes and strong winds that damaged structures, including Tropicana Field. Emergency services have been overwhelmed, and residents have been urged to shelter in place as recovery efforts continue.
