Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has handed over 20 operational vehicles to security agencies in a bid to strengthen security across the state.
The vehicles were presented during a formal ceremony where the governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property. He emphasized that the donation is part of a broader strategy to equip law enforcement agencies with the necessary tools to combat crime effectively and maintain peace.
“This is a step towards enhancing the operational capacity of our security agencies. A secure environment is vital for the well-being of our people and for attracting investments to the state,” Governor Otti said.
The vehicles will be distributed among the police, the military, and other security outfits operating within Abia State. Representatives of the security agencies expressed their appreciation for the gesture, noting that it would improve their mobility and response to emergencies.
Governor Otti urged the agencies to use the vehicles effectively and assured residents that his administration would continue to prioritize security as part of its governance agenda.
