Areas like Siesta Key and Central Florida were especially hard hit, with wind gusts exceeding 100 mph. The storm led to significant flooding and water rescues, with damages reported to homes and infrastructure, including Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. At least 16 deaths have been confirmed due to the storm.
