The Israeli government has announced the suspension of all humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza following the conclusion of the initial ceasefire agreement with Hamas.
In a statement released on Sunday, Israeli officials cited security concerns and ongoing hostilities as key factors in the decision. “Given the resumption of conflict and the ongoing threat posed by Hamas, we are halting all aid shipments until further notice,” a government spokesperson stated.
The move has drawn criticism from humanitarian organizations, which warn that the blockade could worsen the already dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza. International agencies have urged Israel to reconsider, emphasizing the need for continued access to food, medical supplies, and essential aid for civilians affected by the conflict.
The suspension follows the expiration of a temporary ceasefire brokered by international mediators, which had allowed limited humanitarian relief to enter the enclave. With hostilities resuming, diplomatic efforts to restore aid access and de-escalate tensions remain ongoing.
