Jamal Simmons, a former communications director for Vice President Kamala Harris, recently suggested that President Joe Biden should consider resigning to enable Harris to become the first female U.S. president, even if only briefly. Simmons argued that this move would fulfill Biden’s earlier pledge of being a “transitional” president. He also mentioned that it could position Harris as a historic figure and shake up the political scene before the upcoming transition to the new administration, expected in January 2025.
