The Lagos chapter of Nigeria’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is actively working to rebuild the party amid challenges in both state and national structures. Recently, the PDP has taken steps to resolve internal disputes, including lifting suspensions of some members and reaffirming unity under Acting Chairman Umar Damagum. In a bid to bolster support and strategize, PDP leaders and governors met to align on the direction and address factionalism, emphasizing that the party needs to remain cohesive to effectively engage in upcoming political battles.
At the national level, these reconciliation efforts have delayed the PDP’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, now rescheduled for November 28. This meeting will likely cover vital decisions and further steps to strengthen the party’s presence across Nigeria
