Three journalists were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a compound housing media workers in Hasbaya, southeastern Lebanon. Among the casualties were Ghassan Najjar and Mohammad Rida, affiliated with the Hezbollah-linked Al-Mayadeen channel, and Wissam Qassem of Al-Manar TV.
The strike, which also injured three others, is being condemned by Lebanese media organizations as a “war crime.” The incident highlights escalating dangers faced by journalists in the region amid intensified Israeli-Hezbollah hostilities since 2023.
