The Moroccan navy recently rescued 38 migrants from a boat off the Atlantic coast near Tan-Tan, a port in southwestern Morocco. The group, comprising 36 migrants from sub-Saharan Africa and two from Asian countries, was attempting to reach the Canary Islands. The navy intercepted their makeshift vessel 38 kilometers northeast of Tan-Tan. After receiving first aid, the migrants were handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for further administrative procedures.
