
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) recently seized 115.226 kg of illicit drugs and arrested 149 suspects in Ebonyi State. These arrests were part of an ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking and abuse. The drugs confiscated included substances like cannabis, methamphetamine, tramadol, and other dangerous substances.
This operation is part of NDLEA’s broader efforts to curb drug-related crimes, which are known to fuel insecurity and violence in various regions across Nigeria.
Additionally, NDLEA’s nationwide efforts from January to March 2024 saw the agency seize significant amounts of various drugs and secure numerous convictions in court.
