The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has successfully located the wreckage of the Sikorsky SK76 helicopter that recently crashed into the Atlantic Ocean while en route from Port Harcourt. This helicopter, operated by Eastwind Aviation, was found roughly a week after the accident.
It was carrying eight passengers, all of whom tragically lost their lives. The wreckage was discovered near Bonny Island, at a depth of about 42 meters. Recovery efforts are ongoing as NSIB aims to conduct a full investigation into the incident.
