I got into Abuja late on Monday to participate in the funeral Mass of a distinguished and patriotic Nigerian who was a Senate President in the Second Republic, Senator Joseph Wayas.
I extended my sincere condolences to the family of the respected elder statesman. He served the nation at a crucial time when Nigeria’s legislative efforts were truly dedicated to the people and focused on our country’s growth.
His legacy as a defender of democracy will continue to guide and inspire generations to come.
May he rest in peace, and may his family find comfort in this time of grief. -PO
