Paddington Bear has officially been issued a British passport, 66 years after his arrival in London from “darkest Peru.” This milestone coincides with the upcoming third film, Paddington in Peru, set for release in 2024.
The passport, granted by the UK Home Office, reflects Paddington’s iconic status as a beloved character in British culture, known for his politeness, love of marmalade, and endearing misadventures.
The passport also celebrates his journey from Peru and his enduring charm as a symbol of kindness and inclusion.
