The Chairman of Pakistan’s Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Shahir Mirza, has applauded the Armed Forces of Nigeria for its relentless efforts in combating terrorism, insurgency, and other security challenges across the country.
General Mirza made the commendation during a courtesy visit to Nigeria on Thursday, where he met with top military officials and discussed avenues for strengthening bilateral defence cooperation between both nations.
He hailed Nigeria’s dedication to restoring peace and stability, noting the courage and professionalism of its military personnel in the face of complex security threats.
The visit also focused on fostering greater collaboration in military training, intelligence sharing, and joint strategic initiatives aimed at tackling global terrorism.
General Mirza’s commendation comes amid continued regional and international support for Nigeria’s counter-insurgency operations.
