
Peter Obi recently congratulated Professor Kingsley Chiedu Moghalu, a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), on his continued achievements and contributions. He took to o his X formerly Twitter account to celebrate him, he said
I sincerely rejoice and congratulate My Dear Brother and Former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Prof. Kingsley Chiedu Moghalu on his appointment as the inaugural president of the African School of Governance, ASG, Kigali, Rwanda by African leaders.
As the pioneer president of ASG, Prof @MoghaluKingsley will draw on his wealth of knowledge and experience to contribute to addressing ‘the continent’s pressing governance challenges by offering a world-class education in public policy and governance, equipping emerging leaders with the mindsets, skills, and knowledge required for effective leadership of Africa’s future’.
Africa, and indeed, our dear country Nigeria, has remained greatly burdened by poor governance and leadership failure. Institutions like these, which address the continent’s governance challenges, are critical to building a new generation of African leaders who will be competent, capable, and committed to the development of the continent.
May God give Prof Moghalu the wisdom, strength, and grace to succeed in his new position.

Moghalu, who has an extensive background in international diplomacy, finance, and academia, is recognized for his work in Nigeria’s financial sector, particularly during the 2008 global financial crisis, and for his leadership in reforms like the introduction of the Bank Verification Number (BVN). He has also authored books and held influential academic positions globally.
