
Following the historic Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C., Senator Nenadi Usman, PhD, Chairman of the Labour Party Caretaker Committee, has reaffirmed her dedication to fostering democracy, transparency, and inclusivity in Nigeria.
In a statement issued before her departure, Senator Usman expressed her profound inspiration from witnessing the peaceful transfer of power in the United States. “I am departing Washington, D.C., following the Presidential Inauguration with a renewed sense of purpose and determination for our beloved party and nation. Witnessing the orderly transfer of power here has further strengthened my resolve to contribute to the growth of our democracy, where leadership is anchored on integrity, inclusivity, and the will of the people,” she said.
The senator emphasized her unwavering commitment to the Labour Party’s vision and Nigeria’s progress. “As I return to Nigeria, I am committed to working tirelessly with my colleagues and supporters to build a nation where transparency, equity, and good governance become the foundation of our collective progress. The journey may be challenging, but together, with faith and action, we can create the Nigeria we dream of,” she added.
