A recent violent incident in Nasarawa’s Agyaragu market led to the death of a soldier and a civilian after an altercation between a soldier and a police special constable. The conflict reportedly began when the soldier intervened in a police arrest, leading to a scuffle where the soldier was stabbed.
Following the soldier’s death, enraged residents attacked a police station, resulting in the police allegedly opening fire, leaving one civilian dead and others injured. Authorities have since deployed additional forces to stabilize the area and are investigating further.
