A fatal auto crash on Lagos’ Third Mainland Bridge has claimed the life of one person and left four others injured. The tragic incident occurred late Sunday night, reportedly involving a high-speed collision between two vehicles.
Eyewitnesses said one of the cars lost control, veered off its lane, and crashed into another vehicle, leading to severe damage. Emergency responders, including the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), arrived promptly to provide assistance.
The injured victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention, while the body of the deceased has been taken to the morgue. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, with initial reports suggesting overspeeding and poor visibility as likely factors.
The incident has once again highlighted the need for stricter adherence to traffic regulations and improved road safety measures on Lagos’ busiest highways.
